Measuring the quality of prison life

چکیده
The aim of this research was to explore whether it is possible to develop well grounded survey measures of prison life and quality, which can provide an additional operationally useful measure to those already in place (such as Key Performance Indicators and Standards Audits). The research found that it is possible to measure complex aspects of prison quality, such as relationships, respect, safety and trust and to compare performance among prisons and over time.
